Heather Aimee O’Neill is a writer, teacher, and developmental editor with nearly two decades of experience helping writers craft compelling stories and refine their voice. She is the author of the forthcoming novel The Irish Goodbye, set to be published by Henry Holt on September 30, 2025, as well as the poetry collections Memory Future and Obliterations (co-authored with Jessica Piazza).
A former creative writing and queer literature instructor at CUNY Hunter College, she now teaches at the Sackett Street Writers’ Workshop and mentors writers through manuscript critiques and immersive writing retreats. She lives in Brooklyn with her wife and two sons.
Natalie Serber is a fiction writer, essayist, and educator based in Portland, Oregon. She is the author of Shout Her Lovely Name, a New York Times Notable Book, and the memoir Community Chest. Her work has appeared in publications such as The New York Times, O, the Oprah Magazine, Salon, and The Rumpus. Serber holds an MFA from Warren Wilson College and has received awards including the John Steinbeck Award, Tobias Wolff Award, and H.E. Francis Award.
She teaches writing and offers editorial services, and she publishes a weekly newsletter, read.write.eat., where she shares book recommendations, writing prompts, and reflections on life and creativity.
